| Statement of Principles |
In all of our work, we uphold these principles:
-
All fund raising activities shall be conducted in an ethical and
legal manner, so that they are fully transparent and accountable to
the donors and the community.
-
Every non-profit charitable organization has a fiduciary
responsibility to manage donated funds
competently and prudently.
-
Donors give because they care about the charitable mission. We
avoid any fund raising activity that relies on
intimidation or donor discomfort.
-
All donated
funds are held in trust for the charitable mission, and the donors and
the community deserve regular reports about the use of donated funds.
-
Effective fund raising is based on the process of strategic
donor development, which necessarily consists of a balanced program of
donor acquisition, donor retention, stewardship and individual
cultivation and solicitation.
