Statement of Principles

In all of our work, we uphold these principles:
  1. All fund raising activities shall be conducted in an ethical and legal manner, so that they are fully transparent and accountable to the donors and the community.

  2. Every non-profit charitable organization has a fiduciary responsibility to manage donated funds  competently and prudently.

  3. Donors give because they care about the charitable mission.  We avoid any fund raising activity that relies on intimidation or donor discomfort.

  4. All donated funds are held in trust for the charitable mission, and the donors and the community deserve regular reports about the use of donated funds.

  5. Effective fund raising is based on the process of strategic donor development, which necessarily consists of a balanced program of donor acquisition, donor retention, stewardship and individual cultivation and solicitation.

Ethical Codes
We follow and support these three key codes for ethical fund raising:

DONOR BILL OF RIGHTS

AFP CODE OF ETHICS

MODEL STANDARDS OF PRACTICE
